PolyTalks & WryRelationships<

Non-Monogamy is a diverse umbrella, including Polyamory, Mono-Amory, Hierarchy, Relationship Anarchy, Swinging, DADT, casual sex, threesomes, MonoPoly, SoloPoly, communal, open, closed, triads, and more.
Though threesome is most commonly applied to a casual sexual activity involving three participants, a long-term serious relationship among 3 people is known as a triad.

PolyTalks and WryRelationships are discussion groups that provide an open forum for exploration of non-monogamy, mono-amory,  polyamory, and the myriad of variations in which modern day relationships function. Participation in the conversation is highly encouraged! Explore your relationship (and ours) in a Q&A format. What’s best for you may not fall within the labels monogamy, polyamory, or open relationships, but actually some combination on the endless list of variations in Non-Monogamy. We celebrate, validate, and discuss a full spectrum of options.

Relationship Anarchy (RA) is not bound by rules aside from what is mutually agreed on. It distinguishes itself from polyamory by no formal distinction between sexual, romantic, or platonic relationships.
Swinging is typically defined as Mono-Amorous, with one committed couple and multiple casual sex partners, either as a couple or individuals. A committed couple having multiple committed partners as individuals is where it crosses over into poly-amorous territory.
  • Explore the Political Science of your relationship
  • Explore relationship dichotomies as spectrums, rather than polarities. For example, the Kinsey Scale presents more than simply straight or gay. Additional axis can be added to gender and attraction as well. This same spectrum approach could be applied to Open vs. Closed relationships.  Or any other polarity typically seen as one extreme or the other.
